Donna Gentile performs folk-pop, roots, Americana and Native Spirit-inspired originals and covers. She believes that music is medicine. After praying to ancestors on two very different occasions (the birth of her daughter and the passing of her father), Gentile had two very powerful Native Spirit-inspired songs come through —
River Song for Kira, a lullaby to aid in gentle birthing, and;
Crossing Over, a medicine song inspired by Tecumseh (Shawnee) that is meant to give our loved ones wings
Watch the video below to hear Donna tell the story and sing Crossing Over.
