A gentle birthing lullaby inspired by American Indian tradition… a gift from Kira, Creator, our ancestors and channeled through Donna Gentile in 1999 with Kira in her belly.

Can you hear the mighty river
Can you feel her waters rushing by
When you’re older you’ll discover
That your life is like a river
When you’re older you will learn that so am I

You are safe in mama’s belly
Swimming underneath the water
Where I cannot see or touch you
But I feel you and I love you
When you’re born I’ll keep you warm and safe and dry

There are bends along the river
There are changes like the weather
Some may lift you from your darkness
Some may drive you to your knees
Just remember you have roots to help you stand

When you’re lost in man’s illusion
Bring yourself back to the river
Let her whispers calm and soothe you
Let her rocks guide and protect you
She will always take you in and so will I

Can you hear the mighty river
Can you feel her waters rushing by
When you’re older you’ll discover
That your life is like a river
When you’re older you will learn that so am I

You are safe in mama’s belly
Swimming underneath the water
Where I cannot see or touch you
But I feel you and I love you
When you’re grown I’ll give you wings so you can fly

(Vocal chant & instrumental over verse)

When you’re grown I’ll give you wings so you can fly
When you’re grown I’ll give you wings so you can fly
