What is American Joule?

A Conscious Heart that Burns for Freedom

To put it simply, a ‘joule’ is a measurement of energy. In March of 2020, when it became apparent to some of us that our freedoms were under attack, I knew I needed to stand up for what is right. With a curfew in force in my state and the threat of forced vaccinations and vaccine passports, I decided it was time to head west for liberty. To me, American Joule is about holding myself accountable for how my energy is spent. It represents a conscious heart that burns for freedom.

The Joule On The Road journey began in 2021 when Kira and I converted our vehicles and headed west for liberty with our cat Luna.

But there’s a back story…

As a young mother, music and mandala art helped me heal, take back my power and shine my light after abuse. The journey to thriving ignited a passion in me for freedom. It sharpened my ability to discern truth and recognize the tactics abusers use to control. In the true fashion of how the Holy Spirit moves, it taught me that freedom is in my mind (watch This is Me).

Despite the abuser’s attempts to take me down, I raised an empowered daughter, ran a successful design business, taught hundreds of art workshops for healing and performed original music with a message of triumph. After my daughter became an adult, and our freedoms were at risk again, we decided to convert our vehicles and head west for liberty.

Follow American Joule on Rumble to see what life is really like on the road as I travel America honing my homestead skills and earning my keep doing ‘workaway’ at family farms and off-grid communities. I’ll share the van build, adventures, discoveries, music, art and stories on the road. It’s not all glamorous, but it’s my freedom story, and I hope it inspires you!

Update

During my years on the road from 2021 to 2024, I stayed briefly in many of the 50 states, but spent significant time in Arizona (check out murals), Colorado, Idaho, Massachusetts (where This is Me was filmed), New Mexico, the Carolinas and Pennsylvania.

When my daughter needed to be home, we car-camped in Colorado until we found jobs and housing. I cleaned cabins immediately then did retail sales for over a year to ensure financial security when the Holy Spirit stepped in to realign me to my purpose.

These days, I’m in Colorado creating Joule of Durango jewelry and art, while offering Music, Art Workshops and Design Services, and developing a program called RISE & SHINE. Stay tuned for that!
