Zentangle Examples

Free Resource

Below are examples of tangle patterns (also known as zentangles).

Tangles are traditionally drawn in black and white, but adding color is super fun! Tangles are patterns that repeat themselves and they are usually drawn inside other shapes.

Do you remember doodling on your school notebook and zoning out?

Well, zentangling is kind of like that.

When we draw or paint repetitive patterns, our brain tries to make order out of random things, which can be calming, relaxing, soothing, restorative, healing and fun.

Think yoga, but with art. Enjoy! 🙂
